- Job Title: Project Engineer

- Pay Rate: PAYE - £51.89/hour Umbrella
We are seeking skilled Project Engineers to provide fit-for-purpose engineering solutions and support complex projects within a highly regulated environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to critical engineering initiatives in the nuclear sector. Key Responsibilities: - Develop engineering solutions and ensure design authority standards and configuration control.
- Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Contribute to the Project Execution Plan, including design, safety case, and commissioning strategies.
- Support the project optioneering process and develop concept designs.
- Produce and approve project technical specifications and manage detailed design activities.
- Prepare modification proposals and conduct technical assessments of contractors' work.
- Provide technical supervision of construction and deconstruction activities.
- Approve as-built drawings and manage handover to operations.
- Liaise with system engineers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain site configuration control.
Required Skills and Experience: - Experience in a disciplined engineering role (Mechanical, Electrical, EC&I) in industrial settings.
- Background in nuclear and/or conventional project engineering.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering standards (Company and national).
- Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear, with 18-24 months of UK-based experience.
- Strong communication skills with clients, designers, and SMEs.
- Familiarity with Safety Rules, risk assessment methodologies, and Site Licence/Quality Management System requirements.
- Understanding of the CDM Designer role and experience in contract management and project delivery.
