LOGICALPS are one of the UKs leading labour providers to the energy and construction sectors. Our client is currently looking for an EC&I project engineer for a role on Sizewell B Power Station, Suffolk. Details are as follows: - Temp to perm position
- 40 - 50 hours per week, usually 50 hours required
- £50k-£62k salary
- This role is mostly at Sizewell Power Station
Key responsibility: - Monitor delivery of the project, identifying risk and opportunities and working with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery.
- Assess the constructability of the proposed design and ensure that Design teams produce feasible designs within the required timescales.
- Lead the delivery of construction works, ensuring compliance with all company processes and protocols.
- Review and approve contractor documents as delegated by Project Manager
- Support and develop the supervisory and engineering team, and support project steering groups/cross discipline action groups, as required.
- Perform up front site surveys including liaising with designers.
- Proofread and approves drawings.
- Where appropriate, act as point of contact for site related project issues.
- Act as Test Team Leader where appropriate
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
- Manage the implementation of systems and processes for Right First-Time approach.
- Overall ownership of Handover Documentation for Section
- Input and drive of operational target programs to reflect overall construction program.
- Liaise with off-site functions for knowledge sharing and best practice.
- Identify longer term strategic training to support individual development as required.
- Management of subcontractors and advise on commercial aspects / preferred attendances and operational risks to the scheme and mitigation options.
- Support the work winning process by providing technical input.
- Collating project take off s for quotation purposes
- Producing EC&I RAMS & Quality plans for client review
Requirements: - HNC/HND qualifications in either Electrical or C&I discipline (Advantageous, although not essential)
- Experience in the management of a wide range of construction operations
- Highly numerate, with strong commercial awareness and good technical knowledge
- Substantial experience within H&S Management in an operational setting
- Previous nuclear industry experience would be advantageous
- Understanding of high levels of health & safety
- CTC/SC clearance would be preferred but can be processed for the right individual
