About the Role

This is an opportunity to join the UK's first new-build nuclear power station in a generation at Hinkley Point C (HPC), a critical project for the UK's NetZero targets. This role offers a chance for a data analyst to diversify within the construction industry. HPC requires extensive data analysis across multiple business functions using tools like Excel, Power BI, and other data management platforms. The successful candidate will focus on data manipulation and distribution, serving various stakeholders and following the principles of the data analytics lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop forecast and predictive models using data related to dates, costs, and project progress.
  • Support departments with ad hoc business intelligence requests.
  • Evaluate and enhance current business practices, proposing new solutions as needed.
  • Prepare, clean, and validate datasets.
  • Maintain key datasets, ensuring accuracy and regular updates.
  • Create documentation and presentations to convey data insights.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Technical Skills: Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, SQL, and Python.
  • Project Experience: Knowledge of project management and delivery.
  • Communication: Strong ability to convey complex data insights clearly.
  • Stakeholder Management: Capability to manage stakeholder needs effectively.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
