Senior CAD Technician

Our client is an award-winning and well known, design and engineering consultancy.

We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Senior Civil & Structural Technician to join the expanding civils / structures team. This role will be based in Manchester (hybrid).

The role

The Senior Civil & Structural Technician will be working in various sectors such as life sciences, defence, education, aviation and nuclear, in a team of engineers and technicians.

This includes leading on the quality of all drawn information for projects, including document control.

You will manage other CAD technicians as well as contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff, and the continual improvement of the CAD delivery processes within the department.
You will promote and develop the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) within the department

We would like to hear from you if you have:

HNC / HND Civil Engineering accredited with ICE / Eng Tech TMICE or TIStructE

Experience with CAD 2D and 3D software and a working knowledge of REVIT would be useful.

Able to produce 2D & 3D civil and structural deliverables from concept through to design

Knowledge and experience of traditional building materials, e.g. Steel, Timber, Concrete and RC detailing, and overall site wide infrastructure and earthworks.

Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications.
