Key Responsibilities:

As a 360 Excavator Operator working on the Sizewell C project, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a 360 Excavator to perform a wide range of duties on-site, such as earthworks, trenching, drainage, and general civil works that support the overall construction of the Sizewell C nuclear power station.
  • Collaboration on Site: Work alongside the project teams to ensure all tasks are completed according to specification, within the project s timeline, and while adhering to stringent health and safety regulations.
  • Routine Checks & Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and maintenance of the machinery to ensure it remains in optimal working condition, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Compliance with Safety Standards: Follow site-specific instructions from supervisors and managers, ensuring full compliance with site rules, safety standards, and environmental regulations that are essential on a nuclear construction site.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of quality in all work completed, ensuring the project s quality and safety protocols are adhered to throughout the duration of the works.

What We re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will be someone who is reliable, experienced, and motivated to work on a high-profile and challenging project. Specific requirements include:

  • CPCS or NPORS Certification: Essential for 360 Excavator operation on civil engineering sites.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a 360 Excavator Operator in civil engineering works, preferably in earthworks, drainage, and general civil works, with specific experience on large-scale construction sites.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly within high-risk environments like nuclear power stations.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, yet also demonstrate the ability to work independently when necessary.
  • Reliability: Proven reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude toward hard work.
  • Own Transport: Preferred, as access to the site may be limited by public transport.
