Structural Engineer

I am currently looking to speak with an engineering candidate who will take up the position of Structural Engineer for our client based in Sunderland

Salary £50,000 - £70,000 + Pension + Hybrid

Candidate Industry Background: Construction / Mining / Nuclear / Rail / Refinery / Chemical

Company Background

Client is a leading COMAH infrastructure business and operator of several critical UK energy sites, currently working on a number new projects such CCS / Hydrogen and alternative energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support proposals/ bids with concept design, steel weight and engineering time estimations.
• Produce structural steelwork designs and analysis to support process equipment and plant which are compliant with the relevant codes and regulations.
• Ensure that structural designs are delivered in line with the project scope, schedule and budget.
• Assist with the production of scope of works with clearly defined deliverables.
• Coordinate and review 3rd party design input including preparing purchase requisitions, specifications, design and document review, change control.
• Provide foundation loads and connection design for detailing purposes.

Minimum Requirements

• HND OR degree in engineering
• Be proficient in the use of licenced design software, such as Tekla Designer and S-Frame.
