The purpose of the Nuclear Safety Case Team Member is to provide general nuclear safety case support to the nuclear safety case Team and act as the Repository site Management of Environmental, Health and Safety Committee (MEHSC) secretary and Environmental, Health and Safety Committee (EHSC(NSC)) secretary as well as being the Change Management co-ordinator.
For this role it will be important that you have strong administration skills from within a previous role. You will be attending technical safety case meetings and will be required to take technical notes.
You will be given core radiological & safety case training, longer term will implement safety cases (will be written by others), and you need the ability to handle a variety of tasks. Ideally you will be based on site in Cumbria 2 days per month.
Responsibilities- Undertake all administrative duties associated with the Nuclear Safety Case team ensuring all processes are adhered to.
- Provide secretarial support for the Repository site Environmental Health & Safety meetings.
- Act as primary Change Co-ordinator and assisting with queries from Change Managers
- Undertake co-ordinator duties required under the Change Management process.
- Maintain team databases and process documents in accordance with relevant company procedures.
- Production of annual reviews of the Repository site Environmental Safety Committee Meetings.
- Support Head of Site Operations and Maintenance in reviewing the status of open Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs) and subsequently support PMP close out with the Change Manager.
- Prepare and support the approval of nuclear safety case clearance certificates and safety case implementation plans as required by the Safety Case Manager.
- Act as administrator of all LLWR safety case documentation and ensure these are correctly displayed, stored and archived on behalf of the Safety Case Manager.
- Assist with delivery of individual work packages as requested by the Nuclear Safety Case Team Manager and Nuclear Safety Case Support Manager
