As the Accounts Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with day-to-day financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
  • Cash Book control and forecasting receipts and payments
  • Petty cash reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end journals and reconciliations
  • Customer accounts reconciliation
  • Prepare invoices, process payments (in different currencies), processing timesheets and expenses
  • Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, creating spreadsheets, and generating financial reports.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within an Accounts role
  • Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience running month end journals and reconciliations.
  • Experience dealing with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Specific Qualifications

  • Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent
