Join Our Team as a Project Controls Engineer! I am excited to announce an opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Project Controls Engineer for the Sizewell C project. Based in London with occasional site visits, this role is crucial for the successful delivery of the UK's next generation of nuclear power stations. Sizewell C is a high-profile, complex project that requires innovative engineering and exceptional leadership qualities. Job Purpose / Overview: The Project Controls Engineer will lead the strategy for project controls across the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), ensuring effective delivery of the Civils Programme while aligning with broader project impacts. The role involves managing controls for programme, productivity, and integrated time and cost controls using Earned Value Management. You will report to the Project Controls Leader as part of the PMO. Key Responsibilities: - Programme Controls: Participate in managing project controls, maintain various coding structures, lead the development of the earned value management system, and produce comprehensive reports.
- Project Management Systems and Techniques: Manage integrated project controls systems and software (e.g., Primavera P6, PRISM), and liaise with IT & Digital and IM functions for system alignment.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Champion the HSE agenda across the project, empower teams to improve safety performance, and communicate consistent HSE practices.
- Nuclear Safety: Advocate for Nuclear Safety in decisions and behaviors, ensuring alignment with SZC CWA Nuclear Safety culture.
- Digital Engineering: Promote digital engineering tools, integrate BIM models with schedule, budget, and cost data, and support business reporting and performance measurement.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Anticipate and meet changes in stakeholder needs, maintain diverse networks of contacts, manage potential conflicts, and promote the SZC CWA Strategic roadmap.
- People Management: Motivate and develop team capabilities, create alignment between alliance parties, and ensure effective communication.
Experience Required: - At least 12 years of experience in project controls on complex and mega infrastructure projects, working with leading international tier 1 contractors.
- A relevant undergraduate degree.
- Hands-on experience with contract, cost, and EVM systems such as PRISM, Unifier, and InEight.
