The role As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This offers an excellent opportunity to support our Clean Energy operations, notably with our MEH Alliance work at Hinkley Point C. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for interfacing with the client, MEH Alliance members and wider Cavendish team; managing Project Management documentation and arrangements, leading on additional packages of work throughout their lifecycle amongst reporting to the Senior Project Manager and wider stakeholders ensuring workstream and project delivery requirements are met. Additional responsibilities include: - Support the overall monthly MEH Reporting, ensuring risk and opportunities are managed and accurate collation of data from internal MEH stakeholders.
- Collaborating, informing and managing all relevant stakeholders, both internal (Cavendish Nuclear) and external (MEH at Hinkley Point C)
- Providing end-to-end delivery throughout the project lifecycle, you'll also be responsible for supporting with requirement capture, scoping, technical and commercial solutions and the generation of pricing models and proposal documents.
- Ownership of project risk management to ensure that the business' risk exposure is kept to a minimum and is effectively managed throughout the project.
- Lead on end-to-end resource deployment into the MEH, working with the resource team, commercial and finance to manage costs, security clearances, IT provision, inductions, certifications and mobilisation to site.
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role. This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based at Bristol and requires regular travel to Hinkley Point C (near Bridgwater) on a regular basis alongside home working arrangements. Essential experience of the Project Manager - Experience in the application of Project Management techniques in a relevant project environment.
- Awareness of Health and Safety leadership within a project environment
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial management
- Strong and effective relationship management (both internal and external, client interfacing)
Qualifications for the Project Manager - APM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent (advantageous)
