Are you ready to play a crucial role in shaping the future of energy? We at the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) are thrilled to invite applications for the position of Assurance, Governance and Requirements Lead. This pivotal role will support the ambitious Sizewell C project, a 3.2-gigawatt power station dedicated to generating low-carbon electricity for approximately 6 million homes, ensuring reliable, clean energy for at least the next 60 years.

About the Role: As the Assurance, Governance and Requirements Lead, you will spearhead the implementation and management of systems to ensure our work meets the project's stringent technical requirements. Your role will encompass the entire technical lifecycle, from design and methods engineering through to construction and handover, ensuring that all technical assurances are in place and meticulously followed.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders, including the UK Government, regulatory bodies, and our alliance partners, to interpret, develop, and manage technical requirements. Your efforts will be critical in ensuring seamless handover and quality assurance across all stages of the project.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified engineer with multidisciplinary breadth
  • Experience in technical assurance and certification, preferably within the nuclear sector and ISO 9001
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage processes to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to establish and communicate technical requirements and assurance criteria
  • Lead the development and maintenance of management plans for requirements and assurance
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and conformance
  • Leverage lessons learned from previous projects to enhance the Sizewell C programme
