Responsibilities and duties Assist in setting up and organising ground investigation works Supervise intrusive investigation activities such as drilling, trial pitting and in-situ testing Undertake Phase 1 desk studies Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: BSc degree level qualified in geology/earth sciences or a related environmental subject Previous UK ground investigation site experience is essential, and knowledge of the various techniques employed Full UK driving licence essential
Personal skills The Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer role would suit someone who is: Familiar with and be able to interpret geological maps and published geological data Knowledgeable in geotechnical studies including good understanding of basic soil mechanics Knowledgeable of the principal soil and rock strata encountered in the UK
