The role As a Senior Project Manager - MEH Enabling, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As part of the MEH Enabling team, you will be based in Bristol with frequent travel to the MEH offices in Bridgewater and Hinkley Point C site, acting as the lead for Cavendish Nuclear in managing the MEH (Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC) Alliance contract, reaching back into the wider organisation for support where required. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of the project including financial management, forecasting, stakeholder management and customer relationship management, amongst identifying and leading opportunities to support additional packages of work. - Ensuring the forecast resourcing strategy deliver the MEH need, managing internal Cavendish Nuclear stakeholders as required
- Providing overall operational and strategic management of the MEH on behalf on Cavendish Nuclear, collaborating with relevant professional leads to allocate and control project resources to meet delivery targets
- Providing end-to-end delivery throughout the project lifecycle, you'll also be responsible for supporting with requirement capture, scoping, technical and commercial solutions and the generation of pricing models and proposal documents
- Ownership of project risk management
- Leading the monthly accountability including finance review and monthly Project Board
- Working cross functionally to manage the project on behalf of Cavendish Nuclear, leading on activities such as Commercial, Procurement, HSE and Operations
This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role. This role is full time, thirty-five hours per week, and is based at Bristol and requires regular travel to Hinkley Point C (near Bridgwater) on a regular basis alongside home working arrangements. Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager - MEH Enabling - Considerable experience in the advanced application of Project Management techniques in a relevant technical project environment
- Health and Safety leadership - Experience of working within a highly regulated industry
- Experience in leading and managing a team of project staff, providing direction and motivation
- Excellent financial management to ensure a high level of forecasting on projects
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of contract and commercial management
- Experience working with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
- Knowledge of Piping or Welding is highly desirable
Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager - MEH Enabling - APM PMQ, Chartered status or equivalent (advantageous)
