Booth Welsh Dungeness B Power Station, Kent Salary/Rate of Pay: This will be based on experience and discussed at the interview. Hours: Basic working hours 37.5 OT available. Part time basis will also be considered Expected Start date: Early January 2025 Expected duration of contract: Initial period of 3 months leading to 12 months Experience required/Job description: Job Brief Project Engineer responsible for all corrosion based engineering and technical disciplines that are involved in the management, planning and delivery of technical activities assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Responsibilities Provide detailed corrosion inspections when required, including identifying defects, level of severity and courses of action for remediation. Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Monitor compliance to acceptable codes, practices, QA documents, performance standards and specifications. Liaise daily with clients and key stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements to ensure correct representation given in the field. Review overall project delivery with focus on; budget, schedule, personnel performance & KPI s. Assign responsibilities to the wider team including work specifiers, planners, wider contract partners and support staff. Cooperate and communicate with project manager and other key stakeholders to provide project updates and support where required. Review engineering deliverables and provide corrective actions where required. Skills Proven experience as a project engineer Good understanding of Pressure Vessels, piping systems and their materials. Good working knowledge and experience of MS Office Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards Ability to work with multiple discipline projects Project management and supervision skills Decision making ability and leadership skills Time management and organization skills | |
