Description: | Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Driving Machinery, Process & Mechanical Handling Innovation in the Nuclear Energy & Defence Industries in Warrington This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive mechanical engineering experience, particularly within nuclear or on heavily regulated industry projects (PetroChemical, Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Defence etc). As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing complex mechanical systems across a range of industries, including Defence & Nuclear Energy.
You should also have strong knowledge of 3D CAD design software, which is essential for creating detailed designs that meet regulatory standards while also minimizing costs without compromising quality. In addition, experience designing Mechanical Handling Systems, Industrial Process Systems or Nachinery used specifically in Nuclear or High-Regulation Industries is advantageous. Demonstrable expertise using finite element analysis (FEA) techniques and stress calculations methods are required skills needed due to being part of critical infrastructure processes like those found when dealing with radioactive materials.
