We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our clients dynamic team in Warrington. If you have a strong background in engineering (preferably within the nuclear industry) and a passion for creating clear, concise technical documentation, we want to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is comfortable working independently, and enjoys leading a team to deliver high-quality outputs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead author for a wide range of technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Write and edit technical reports, manuals, and procedural documents in collaboration with engineers and subject matter experts.
- Prepare meeting minutes from in-person attendance, Teams calls, or Teams recordings, ensuring detailed and precise documentation.
- Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and oversight to maintain high standards of documentation.
- Independently drive projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
- Articulate complex technical requirements in clear, accessible English for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential skills
- Proven experience in technical documentation,
- Demonstrated ability to write accurate and comprehensive meeting minutes across various formats (in-person, virtual, and recordings).
- Strong leadership skills with the capability to manage and support a team.
- Engineering background (nuclear industry experience preferred).
- Excellent command of written English, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively as required.
- Flexibility to work in the Warrington office 2-3 days per week, with the remainder remotely.
