About the role:

Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a specialist in water tech and technology services. They are recruiting for a Service Engineer who ideally has experience working within the Water industry or from a hands-on operations and maintenance role.

The strategically important Service Engineer role comes with a salary of up to 35,000, company vehicle & fuel card, with overtime and commission available.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Field Service Manager you will:

• Performing on-site corrective and preventive maintenance for water treatment equipment.
• Provide technical and commercial support.
• Providing after-sales technical and commercial support.
• Completing risk assessments, work reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Participating in the on-call rota
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers.
• Follow and enforce health and safety policies for both the company and clients.
• Complete and submit risk assessments, work reports, timesheets, and other documents on time.
• Complete site tasks and activities promptly.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or similar)
• Full UK driving licence.

Personal skills

The Service Engineer role would suit someone who has:

• Experience working in water treatment industry (is advantageous but not essential)
• Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical market (desirable)
• Good communication skills, punctual, presentable, and eager to learn and develop.
• Knowledge of company products, applications, and markets is desirable.
• Excellent time management skills.

Salary and benefits of the Service Engineer role:

• Salary between 30,000 - 35,000 per annum depending on experience
