Role Overview Reporting to the Site Delivery Lead, this post is responsible for supporting the overarching direction & leadership of activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of the Temporary Construction Area sub-programme. You will have responsibility to lead/manage a group of Senior Project Managers and Managers (30 +), to ensure delivery of a large scope of Earthworks, Enabling works (including UXO, ecology, archaeology), Civils, Networks and Buildings. The role will entail management of a matrix team of wider disciplines forming the project delivery team eg: the SZC supply chain team, the SZC quality team and suppliers
Key Responsibilities Site Delivery - Temporary Construction Area: the role will assist the Site Delivery Lead in developing the strategies for delivering scope to cost, schedule and quality. This post also has the responsibility to ensure operational delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities or work package, in accordance with the overall Project schedule.
Qualifications & Experience Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
o Engineering design, contract and field execution strategies for project delivery, o Multi-discipline EPCM projects, o Procurement and management of complex contracts, o Control of costs; risk; schedule and change and proficient in the use of Earned Value tools, o Close out of commercial claims and the associated negotiations.
