Description: Our client is a highly innovative engineering firm who supply bespoke products for the nuclear material handling sector. Due to growth they require a QHSE Coordinator to work from their busy North East facility.

Working as an integral part of an agile team, the role will be supporting the Operations Director with delivery of QHSE aspects and oversight of the Supply Chain. The role offers a degree of flexibility on hours.

The Role:

  • Delivery of Health, safety and environmental aspects across the business in line with company processes
  • Maintenance and development of the engineering office and technology centre facilities and equipment for safe and efficient delivery in line with company processes
  • Development and oversight of the Supply Chain to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of company products and services
The Person:
  • HNC or degree in a relevant discipline
  • Quality management experience with detailed knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Experience of conducting and receiving audits
  • In depth understanding of safe working practices and HSE Management (e.g. IOSH)
  • Experience of working with engineering supply chain for complaint delivery
  • Proficient in IT and engineering software packages
  • Good planning, organisation and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dynamic self-starter, able to work independently and within a team
Desirable:
  • Experience of the offshore and/or nuclear industries
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (specifically including fabrication and machining)
  • Experience of developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures
  • Be an active driver for continual improvement
