| Description: | Job Title: Fettler/Grinder Location: Ripley, Derbyshire Salary: 29,203.20 per annum Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30am until 16.30pm and Friday 07.30am until 12.30pm Company Overview My client based in Ripley, Derbyshire specialises in fabrications for the Nuclear, Defence, Sub-sea, and Process Industries. Operating within our state-of-the-art fabrication facility, we work with a diverse range of materials and thicknesses to produce high-quality fabrications that meet industry standards. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fettler to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in using hand tools to deburr, grind, and polish materials and fabrications. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our products, directly contributing to the success of our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities Utilise hand tools and machinery to grind, deburr, and finish metal components to specified tolerances. Remove weld spatter from welded fabrications. Ensure all work meets the required quality control standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and address any production challenges. Qualifications & Experience Proficiency in using hand tools with experience in heavy-duty fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship.
